Mon Mon Myat presents her book on Aung San Suu Kyi at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand. The book reads Suu Kyi’s political thought through philosophy, Burmese Buddhist values and Western democratic ideals, drawing on research carried out between 2012 and 2020.
The author holds a PhD in peacebuilding from Payap University and previously made a documentary following the same period of Suu Kyi’s career. Filmmaker Jeanne Hallacy, a former FCCT board member with long-standing Myanmar ties, moderates.
Copies will be on sale at the event. Doors at 7pm. Free for members, THB400 non-members, THB150 for students and local media with ID.
