It’s a real challenge for expats to get credit cards in Thailand. Even if you’ve been here a long time, the chance of getting a credit card from a Thai bank is low.
The good news is that if you are a legal resident of a country where Revolut is available, including many countries in the European Union, you may be able to get a Revolut card.
It’s an international payment card from Revolut that is linked to its app.
It’s essentially a payment card that works like a bank account, a mobile wallet, and a card, and can help you spend in different currencies, although currency exchange and ATM withdrawal fees can apply depending on your plan and usage.
Their card is tied to an app, you can fund it by bank transfer or card, and can then use it to make cash withdrawals and buy things online at Revolut’s exchange rate; additional fees may apply depending on your plan, limits, and when you exchange money.
The Revolut app can include physical cards, virtual cards, disposable virtual cards, account details, cryptocurrency services, travel insurance, and a bunch of extras, depending on your country, plan, and eligibility.
It’s a worthwhile option, especially if you can’t get a Thai credit card.
